Jim Ellis Automotive Group

Case Study # 1: Jim Ellis Automotive Group

Apr 2019SEO Content Strategy & ExecutionAtlanta, GA

Opportunity: Local automotive dealer suffering from low SERP ranking for all twenty of its Atlanta metro area locations. Poor site construction (via multiple content management systems such as Wordpress or Dealer.com) and lack of site content also a contributing factor to high bounce rates and low conversion.

Solution: Conducted UX/UI and SEO audits for all twenty dealership sites with recommendations for layout and functionality improvements that I would later execute across core pages (for example, reducing size of invasive/excessive chat buttons). Performed citation alignment to ensure accuracy of business information (name, address, phone number, website) across SERPs. Inserted schema markup for optimal indexing. Planned and subsequently built content based around popular and high-volume models (for example, building a page for the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette months ahead of the model's release date, taking advantage of its many delays at the time). Optimized metadata on core and high-traffic pages.

Results: Gradual month-over-month (MoM) increase in organic traffic. Improved user experience led to substantial decrease in bounce rates. Specialized content linking to inventory pages caused modest increase in conversions. Implementation of schema markup improved integration with (and ranking on) Google search results pages.

The Coca-Cola Company

Case Study # 2: The Coca-Cola Company

Aug 2018Social Media Listening & AnalysisAtlanta, GA

Note: Additional reports can be viewed for the following brands: COCA-COLA  ○  COKE ZERO  ○  DIET COKE  ○  MINUTE MAID  ○  SPRITE  ○  VITAMINWATER

Opportunity: Multi-billion dollar beverage company wishing to track the performance of concurrent social media campaigns for several brands and subsidiaries such as Minute Maid (see above) and Sprite, as well as its flagship product.

Solution: Through ad agency Havas Worldwide, I used metric tools such as Netbase and Sprinklr to extract data for hundreds of social media posts weighing in such factors as amount of comments, retweets/shares and overall engagement to gauge the success (or failure) of either individual posts or campaigns spanning several weeks or months. Visualized data into Google Slides reports with brand-consistent imagery highlighting content performance, conversation volume, consumer sentiment and a summary of important takeaways and recommendations.

Results: After additional collaboration with the analytics team at Havas Worldwide, the executive team was presented with presentation-friendly reports that helped determine and plan the direction or frequency of future content.

Logi Analytics

Case Study # 3: Logi Analytics (formerly Izenda)

Jan 2017SEO, UX/UI, Web DevelopmentAtlanta, GA

Opportunity: Business intelligence analytics firm in transition identifies major need for website overhaul.

Solution: Helped migrate CMS platform to Wordpress and rebuilt individual pages to achieve a responsive and less-cluttered layout, improving SEO friendliness of previous version. Catalogued all resource assets onto a dedicated page. Worked closely with satellite Atlanta staff to implement new branding initiatives sitewide. Made SEO content recommendations for weekly blog.

Results: Increase in positive user experience contributed to consumer confidence, revenue growth and, consequently, the eventual sale of the company to InsightSoftware four years later.
